Pictures:

It was hard to keep the same angle. The clothes are exactly the same. I don't think I look thinner, except for the side shot. I'm still looking forward to day 24 to see the total. At my highest, at the end of 2012 I was 140 lbs. My smallest was June 27, 2013, I was at 124.7 lb. At 5 feet, I should weigh 94.7 lbs - 128.0 lbs. My personal ideal weight would be 110 lb in a perfect world and probably 120 lb in the real world. I would like to be a size 4 pants. I would definitely say that my weight collects in my rear.

Results of Advocare 24 Day Challenge

The last time I weighed in I was 125lb. Sunday, December 29th we left for vacation.  It was a really hectic day because it started snowing Saturday night and the roads were a mess. We had my family at my house Saturday to have Christmas and they spent the night.

While on the road I ate two McDonals's wrap with grilled chicken. I wish I would have asked to hold the cheese but I did know. I ate healthy chili and didn't eat the treats. The rest of the trip was full of Puerto Rican food. The problem was even though I was taking the pills, I was constipated. The day after the challenge I weighed in at 127 (this was a different scale which could have changed the number, but I doubt it). I forgot to bring a tape measure, I hadn't worked out since Friday, and I was disappointed with my number so I didn't take pictures.

I really like the challenge, but it isn't something I can afford at this point in my life. If I can find some cash I will do the 10 day fiber cleanse again in a few months, since I lost a lot of weight during this time. Today I weigh 129lb and I haven't been eating that well. I hope to motivate myself back into the same workout routine and eating habits. If I do I have no doubt I can get down to 125lb, then in a few years I can do the challenge again.

Menu Plan

I have been busy trying to get my blood pressure under control and trying to lose some weight.  A couple of weeks ago I was getting nauseated at work. I have been having intermittently small chest pains that I have been blowing off. Then I decided to check my blood pressure at the store one day when I had a big headache. My blood pressure was 149/107.  I got me a little worried, but I decided to take some aspirin and go to work. The next day I checked again at the store and it was 152/110. This time I decided I should go to the doctor since it was going up and not down. After an EKG, being checked over, and $150 later I am now on blood pressure medication. They ran a bunch of test, I don't smoke, drink on rare occasions, I try to exercise. The only reason for my high blood pressure is hereditary. So now I am taking my medication and trying to keep my sodium in take at less than 1500 mg. I'm eating more vegetables and fruit, recording what I have been eating with MyFitnessPal app on my phone.

Menu Plan

It has been a long time since I have posted a meal plan. We have been eating a lot of the same things around here and I think we are all sick of it. My husband likes to only shop at Walmart, which is understandable since he works long hours. I would like to take back the task of menu planning and shopping to help save some money for the holidays.

Monday - Puerto Rican Stew
Tuesday - Butternut Squash Soup with croissants
Wednesday - Spicy Glazed Pork Steaks with grilled zucchini and squash
Thursday - leftovers since this is Beggars night.
Friday - Slashed Chicken Quarters with salad
Saturday - Slow Cooker Parmesan Honey Pork Roast, with carrots and potatoes
Sunday - Healthy Crockpot Chili
